Official sources further said that overseas Pakistanis were facing difficulties in being kept in quarantine for seven days after a long journey. The Prime Minister directed the Punjab government to test the overseas Pakistanis on their return in two days.
If the test is positive, the returning Overseas Pakistanis will be kept in isolation.
Sources said that Pakistanis returning from abroad when the test is negative will be sent home in two days.
On the other hand, more than 200 people from Afghanistan have been kept in the quarantine center at Chaman Pak-Afghan border for the last 9 days. According to the authorities, only 115 of them have been tested and the results have not been received yet.
Lack of facilities in quarantine and returning compatriots, especially women and the elderly, are facing severe difficulties.  The personnel deployed from different departments of Qila Abdullah district for prevention of corona have not been provided with training and related safety equipment.  There is a clear possibility of the virus spreading in them.
