Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Balochistan President Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch will formally announce his exit from the party today in Quetta.
According to details, he will make this announcement in a meeting set to be held today under his chairmanship. Former Chief Minister Balochistan Sanaullah Zehri will also attend the meeting. Party sources said that the meeting will also be attended by all provincial, divisional and district officials.
After the meeting, leaders will hold a press conference and inform about the decisions taken in the meeting. PMLN Balochistan General Secretary Jamal Shah Kakar has already distanced himself from the meeting.
He said that he has been invited by Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari to join Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and he will make a decision after due consultation and consideration.
Abdul Qadir Baloch has said that he will formally announce his resignation from Muslim League Nawaz today, with no chance of return. He said that the primary reason for leaving the party is Mian Nawaz Sharif’s anti-state narrative.
“I have practically separated from PML-N”, Abdul Qadir Baloch said.
He said that he cannot stand with Nawaz Sharif’s narrative against the leadership of state institutions. “I will announce my formal resignation in writing after today’s consultative meeting”, he said
